• Scotphone ICS set up some cost-saving processes at a Central Scotland car dealership, allowing them to make internal calls at no cost. Through a telecoms consultant, the company recruited Scotphone ICS to make wholesale changes to their networks over four sites — one in Straiton outside Edinburgh and three others to the south in Penicuik. • Following discussions with Scotphone ICS about the potential of integrated communications to help move its business forward, a leading agricultural merchant took on a multi-texting service — which allows a device to be plugged into the back of a computer to activate some simple software and send out the texts. This is proving to be very useful to the company, allowing one action that gives all its sales force real-time grain prices to use when selling.
  
  
• Scotphone ICS provided a commercial vehicle client with mobile handsets for its 24-hour on-call engineers, covering eastern Scotland. The business runs around 25 handsets thanks to Scotphone, which has been working with this particular client for around 10 years. As their spokesman says: "Our foreman and office staff find it much easier to communicate like this as they are often moving around. We've effectively done away with individual extensions and the old two-way radios."
